Teachers across both campuses come together during our 2-week Summer Institute to reflect and share best teaching practices, learn from leading consultants on various topics, and collaborate on unit planning for the year ahead.
This year, we invited Dr. Ellen Connors, a certified social emotional learning practitioner and coach to provide a workshop for our faculty and staff on the latest ideas on supporting students social emotionally. Ellen has worked for the past 34 years as a classroom teacher, intermediate school principal, and coach. She helped move faculty from awareness to impact as they consider how to integrate social emotional learning into everyday lessons.

HudsonWay Immersion School's founder Sharon Huang was in attendance this past May, at the 12th annual National Chinese Language Conference (NCLC) in San Diego. Sharon and company discussed the "Challenges and Joys or Early Mandarin Immersion Learning."
