HudsonWay Immersion School (HWIS) graduates often come back and share their stories about what they did after HWIS. It's always interesting to hear how HWIS prepared them for middle and high school as well as how they are maintaining their language skills.

In August 2022 we reconnected with some of the first students attending HWIS (formerly Bilingual Buds) the summer before heading off to college.  Here what they had to say in reflecting on their time at HWIS:

Matt Fallon graduated from HWIS Mandarin track in 2014. He was accepted at The Pingry School for high school. After leaving HWIS, Matt continued his Mandarin studies through weekly Skype sessions with a tutor in China, joined on a two-week-long trip to China during spring break which included living with a Chinese family in a homestay, and worked towards achieving a 5 on the Advanced Placement test in grade 8. He recently graduated from The Pingry School and is a participant in the US Olympics swimming trials. Listen to Matt’s story and that of other alumni....

Alumni Stella, Aalia and Analise discuss the transition from HWIS to NY independent schools.
