Dress Code
Preschool - No required dress code. Children should dress comfortably.Â
Kindergarten, Elementary and Middle School - The HWIS dress code is an important element in showcasing school pride and fostering cohesiveness. On non-gym days students have the choice of white, yellow or green polo shirts with khaki pants, skirt, or shorts. On gym days students should wear navy bottoms (gym shorts and/or navy sweats), white t-shirt, and sneakers. For safety reasons, sandals, crocs or flats are discouraged.

Aside from after-school enrichment classes open to all HWIS and non-HWIS students, we also offer clubs that can be led by a parent or staff member, and require minimal cost to join.
Here are some of the offerings:
New York
Running club NY - a running club that meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7:45am and joins events sponsored by NY Road Runners Club. For more information email Jason Fletchall at HWISNYFlyers@hwis.org.
