Admissions

Welcome to Admissions!

Founded in 2005, we are the oldest Mandarin and Spanish immersion school in the NYC/NJ area. Our small class sizes, diverse community where 70% of our students are people of color, and native-speaking Mandarin and Spanish teachers create a nurturing environment for your child to learn and grow. At HudsonWay, your child will develop into a high-achieving, biliterate, emotionally intelligent young adult who is well-prepared for a global future.

If you’ve landed here, you’re already taking the right steps to prepare your child for a global future. We truly appreciate your interest in sending your child (or children, we welcome siblings) to our school.

From here, you can explore the why and the how of HudsonWay. If you want to start the enrollment process, learn more about the many benefits of full language immersion, or speak to one of our parents, you’ll find all of that information below.

Immersion Overview

In most schools, students are taught in their country’s primary language. However, in the full language immersion model that we teach, students are taught most or all subjects in a second language. Not only is language immersion the most effective way to teach students another language - it also has a powerful and lasting impact on academic performance, cognitive/intellectual functioning, and emotional intelligence.

Why HudsonWay

HudsonWay is a national leader in the field of language immersion. Our students attain high levels of biliteracy in Mandarin and Spanish and score higher on English and Math than their independent school peers.
