For the 4th year, HWIS-NY has partnered with Columbia University’s Teacher’s College to provide an environment for student teachers to get real life experience teaching in the classroom supported by a mentor teacher. In exchange, HWIS benefits from the ideas and additional support that these teachers provide. It’s also a great opportunity for our veteran teachers to gain experience as mentors. This year we have 7 interns, Dianzhou Wang, Zhiyun Lu, Weiqing Song, Chengzi Zuo, Yuxing Lu, Lingfan Hua, Jie Yang in the largest class in our partnership to date. HWIS is the first choice of many interns at TC due to the full immersion model and the intimate culture of HWIS. We will be looking to expand this program with other universities to include our Spanish program and our NJ campus.
