morning announcements | HudsonWay Immersion School
Starting this school year, students in the NY campus have their moment of fame announcing each day's news!

The Morning Announcements have been a long and loved tradition at our campus in New Jersey. Each morning, students broadcast the morning announcement in Mandarin and Spanish so the whole school can hear.

Starting this school year, we brought over this morning ritual to our campus in New York. It is a great opportunity for students to practice their public speaking skills, knowing that their message is heard by he entire school. This build their confidence in speaking the target language. They also feel more comfortable about speaking their mind and making their voice heard.

The Morning Announcements consist in the students presenting themselves, the date, weather and their specialty class that day - all in Mandarin and English. They end their announcement by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in both languages.
