Grade 4 and 5 Mandarin students completed a unit on Colonial America as part of their social studies unit. They learned to view historical events from different perspectives, essential to developing critical thinking.
Grade 5 & 6 Spanish students taking an elective entitled “In the News” learning about the different roles in publishing a newspaper in both Spanish and English.
When teachers solve problems in class, they can model positive self-talk, approaching a challenging problem in different ways, persisting after not getting the right answer immediately, and celebrating the process as well as the outcome.
