Our science fairs are always done in both the target language (Mandarin or Spanish) and in English.  This year we added some unique challenges such as our Solar Oven challenge in which students were divided into teams and given the task of developing a solar oven that minimized negative impact on the environment.  Another grade was given the challenge of developing a low-cost container to transport plants across the country. These challenges integrated science, social studies, economics, math, and biliteracy!
