Grade 3 Science Project
Mandarin students began an 8-week unit on “The Environment” by observing and collecting data on two types of live beetles, the mealworm, and the isopod.  By placing some mealworms in the refrigerator vs.  at room temperature they will see the impact this has on mealworm growth and will later study the food chain and ecosystem differences. Spanish students set up a freshwater aquarium with different kinds of fish, plants, and other organisms monitoring the environmental factors in the system and looking for feeding interactions among the populations.
