Public Speaking (Gr 4-8) – HWIS Teacher Ms. Dalma Felenyi
Public Speaking is a daily life skill that prepares our children to communicate their thoughts to groups of people. In our Public Speaking class, our students will become comfortable speaking in front of an audience and enjoy it! Public Speaking is a stepping stone to other skills like Critical Thinking, Research & Technical Skills, Composition, Debate, Story Telling, Personal and Professional Development, Articulation and Adaptability. Students will learn –Â To thoroughly listen in order to organize an accurate reply, how to identify when a conversation is turning into an argument, how to get out of an argument, how to agree to disagree and stay friends and use their voice and body language. This class will also give students an introduction to writing engaging speeches. This class caters to students who have previously taken Public Speaking or taking it for the first time.Â
Note: Please do not enroll in this class if you require early pick up while the class is taking place. We will not be able to have staff leave other children to get a child from an enrichment class early.
