November 23, 2019Please tell us a little bit about what your interests and hobbies have been since leaving HWIS?
In the fall of 8th grade, I tried out for field hockey, and I had a lot of fun playing with them. I still enjoy playing ice hockey and lacrosse. I also love to write poems and I try to read poetry books from famous authors such as Rupi Kaur, Silvia Plath, and Walt Whitman. I try to read their work from sites like (https://poets.org/) as references so I can write better poems. I still play guitar. I also like to try and walk my dogs every day by myself. I’ve also taken some cooking lessons because I want to be a good cook; I also just like making food since it helps relieves my stress.
Is language study a part of your studies and if so can you describe?
What are your most fond memories of HWIS?
My favorite memory’s are the times we would walk to get frozen yogurt and the days we would watch movies during lunch cause of the snow.
How has being at HWIS benefited you and do you think you might use your language skills in the future?
It’s benefited me in so many ways. It has definitely helped me understand words from other similar languages. My mom and I still try to travel to Spanish speaking countries every summer so I can use my language skills.
