July 1, 2020Please tell us a little bit about what your interests and hobbies have been since leaving HWIS?
After leaving HWIS I picked up a big passion for music and I have been pursuing it ever since the beginning of 9th grade.
Is language study a part of your studies and if so can you describe?
I take Spanish 3H in school and still study Chinese out of school.
What are your most fond memories of HWIS?
I really enjoyed the HWIS community and the events. The field trips were really great as well.
How has being at HWIS benefited you and do you think you might use your language skills in the future?
HWIS has definitely improved my language and creative skills. I think it helped develop me into a creative person. I taught myself how to produce music electronically. I’ve developed a network of over 7000 Instagram followers and have sold about $5,000 of music. I enjoy collaborating on music with friends, and together we made a beat that has a message against racism. In music, language is always good because it opens up different markets. I can see knowing both Spanish and Chinese as being important.
