The Spanish Winter Show – “Los Colores de mi Tierra”
December 13, 2019Fostering Curiosity and Compassion for Animals in our Youngest Students
December 19, 2019Please tell us a little bit about what your interests and hobbies have been since leaving HWIS?
I take robotics through Robot Revolution. Last year, I went to the World championship with my brother, Declan. There were kids there from countries all over the world. This year, I started high school and qualified for the world event but it was canceled due to the coronavirus. I like sports and play soccer and baseball and I wrestle.
Is language study a part of your studies and if so can you describe?
What are your most fond memories of HWIS?
One of my fondest memories was going with Mrs. Maria to get ice cream and pizza (we earned the trip!). Mrs. Maria was a very loving teacher and always went above and beyond for her students. I also enjoyed hanging out with my buddies at school. One year, for the science fair, I built a hovercraft that I was able to sit on.
How has being at HWIS benefited you and do you think you might use your language skills in the future?
HWIS has helped me improve my critical thinking and creativity. These skills helped me with robotics and other activities. My language skills have already helped me to start to learn another language and I anticipate that these skills will be very useful in the business world.
