October 2, 2020In Chinese culture, celebration of Autumn Moon on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month or October 1 this year, is a time of celebrating the harvest and family reunions much like Thanksgiving. Children and parents stay up until midnight watching the moon at its fullest, eating mooncakes and enjoying each other’s company. Children learn the folk story of Chang’e, a princess who drank a potion giving her everlasting life. See how our students learned about Autumn Moon.
