Spring Break Camp
We’re excited to announce the HWIS Spring Break Mini Camp for our students during the week of March 17-21, 2025. Our pre-K students will have engaging language immersion and culture activities. Students in grades K-6 will have hands-on enrichment options that challenge their critical thinking and creativity. Camps will be taught by the current HWIS teachers and experienced vendors with whom HWIS works in our after-school programs.

Preschool Camp (Ages 2.5-5) - Language Immersion + Cultural Activities
Our Preschool Spring Break Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day, with aftercare available until 6:00 PM offering a fun and educational experience that mirrors the regular school day.
- Morning Session: Language Immersion Camp
Students will engage in immersive language activities, fostering their language development in a dynamic and playful environment.
- Afternoon Session: Cultural Activities
Children will enjoy a variety of activities, including Chinese folk dance, zumba, cooking, outdoor play & games, and sports. These sessions will encourage creativity, physical activity, and teamwork with tons of fun!

Registration Details for Preschool Camp:
- Open to all currently enrolled HWIS preschool students.
- Full day session: $600/week, or $750/week with aftercare.
- Half day is available in the AM session, $450/week.
- Early Care available from 8:00-9:00 AM, $50/week or $12/day.
- After Care available from 3:30-6:00 PM, $150/week or $32/day.
Elementary Camps (Grades K-6) - Fun Half-day Enrichment Camps
(All of the elementary enrichment camps will be taught in English.)
Our Elementary Spring Break Camp offers students the flexibility to choose activities that interest them most during the afternoon sessions.
- Morning AM Session: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Sculpture Camp, Grades K-5
Campers will dive into the world of sculpture, learning about different materials and techniques to create their own 3D artwork.

- Afternoon PM Session: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Camp Option 1: Junior Scientist, Grades K-3
Campers will dive into a wide range of science topics, including chemistry, earth science, life science, and physics. With 20 make-and-take projects, such as making super bouncing balls, moon sand, and diving submarines, this camp ensures learning through fun, hands-on experiments!

Camp Option 2: Art Camp: "Color - Pop - Explosion!", Grades 3-6
Campers will explore various media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media, while embracing the playful nature of art. Participants should be prepared for a messy, engaging experience!
The camp will draw inspiration from the vibrant BOLD POP-ART movement of artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, encouraging children to use bold and lively colors in their artwork. Projects will include vivid designs in pastel and fluorescent hues, as well as large-scale structures crafted from cardboard and other materials.

- Open to all currently enrolled HWIS students in Grades K-6.
- Campers can attend one or both sessions.
- Early Care is available from 8:00-9:00 AM, $50/week or $12/day to campers attending the AM session.
