Sculpture Club: Exploring Figures Through Wire Structures (Gr K-6)
Depending on the age and level of the students, we will provide individualized guidance, tailoring the work to each student’s abilities. This ensures that everyone receives appropriate challenges and support to grow as artists.
In the captivating world of sculpture, students embark on a journey of creativity, craftsmanship, and expression. The sculpture class being offered is designed to cater to individuals of varying skill levels, providing a nurturing environment for all to explore and hone their artistic talents. The primary focus of this course will center around creating figures through wire structures, offering a unique and dynamic approach to sculpting.
Throughout the course, students will delve into the intricate art of sculpting by utilizing wires to construct three-dimensional figures. These wire structures will serve as the foundation upon which students will build their sculptures, allowing for a deeper understanding of form, space, and anatomy.By working with wires, students will have the opportunity to explore the human figure in a unique and experimental manner, all while building their skills and creativity in a personalized way.

Teacher: Mr. Walter
Walter Pineda was born in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. As a child, he enjoyed drawing and industrial art. For the past 40 years, he has enjoyed practicing sculpture and creating many different forms of art. He enjoys working with students and helping each child discover the artist within.
