HWIS Community

HudsonWay Immersion School is unique for its intimate, diverse and supportive community of leaders, staff, parents, alumni and students.

As a small independent school, there are many opportunities in our intimate, diverse and supportive environment to connect and get to know one another better. We foster community at HudsonWay, both inside and outside the school.

We strive to build community through school events including the traditional Autumn Moon picnic, Spanish Winter Show, Lunar New Year Show and the Arts Festival. The parent association is welcoming and vibrant, putting together events such as fall visits to local farms, parents’ night out at a comedy club, or ice cream socials so families get to know each other. The parent association also supports the school with events such as the annual gala auction to raise funds that directly benefit students at the school.

Parent and school communications will be streamlined using a new password protected site on Veracross. This site will provide a secure and convenient way to stay connected with your child's education, offering access to grades, assignments, and attendance records. It also serves as the primary channel for communications from teachers and principals, ensuring you receive important updates and announcements. Parents will be sent a log-in via email and encouraged to log in regularly to stay informed and engaged with your child’s learning journey.
