On April 21 HudsonWay Immersion School's NY campus hosted United Nations Chinese Language Day attended by over 300 people to celebrate the importance of Chinese as one of six official languages of the UN and a key to connecting cultures and building bridges globally.

HudsonWay staff, teachers and students were proud to welcome distinguished guests including the Consul General of China in New York, Ambassador Huang Ping, along with the consulate's education delegation. Also visiting were the founder and principals from the Beanstalk Education Group visiting from China, and colleagues from NYU and Columbia University.

Guests were mesmerized with a performance of Sichuan Opera face changing, kung fu and Chinese dance from New York Chinese Cultural Center, as well as performances by HudsonWay and Nightingale Bamford students. Students also enjoyed workshops in paper-cutting, calligraphy, and dressing in Chinese costumes. We are so proud of our students, and staff for putting on such a great event!
