Thank you for your interest in HudsonWay Immersion School! We are pleased to invite you to learn about our unique immersion program & school community. The mission at HWIS is to help build the knowledge, skills & character of our students, so they can become meaningful global contributors and citizens of the world.
We encourage those interested in applying for day school to visit our Upper West Side campus for an information session, during which time they can meet with our talented administration and teaching staff, and hear testimonials from current parents.
If you have any questions, want to learn more about the admissions process, or the other programs that we offer, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to meeting you!
The Admissions Process
Step 1: Attend an Informational Session or Private Tour
Step 2: Apply to HudsonWay Immersion School
Step 3: Release Records
We require a Teacher Recommendation and Transcript Request Form from your child’s current preschool or elementary school. This form must be submitted before an admissions decision can be made. *Exceptions may be made for preschool applicants.
Step 4: Schedule a Student Visit and Family Meeting
Upon receiving your completed application we invite all applicants to come in for a half-day class visit. We also ask that both parents schedule time for a parent meeting through our online admissions & enrollment system, SchoolAdmin. This streamlines, for both parents and staff, the admissions, enrollment and re-registration processes. Additionally, a cognitive assessment will take place for students applying to our elementary program.
Step 5: Admissions Decision
The admissions committee carefully reviews each candidate before a decision is made, and each applicant will be notified of the outcome of this process via email or phone call. *For financial aid applicants: financial aid applications will be reviewed and awarded upon acceptance.
If you have any questions about applying to HudsonWay Immersion School, or would like help during the admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
