HWISPA New York Events
Reading Week, February 27th to March 3rd
HWISPA and Administration have coordinated a schedule of themed days where we encourage the students to participate. The details are contained in a PDF, which can be found here.
Students really enjoy having parents/grandparents come in to read them a book during this time. Please coordinate with your class parent to arrange a time to come join in the fun.
HWISPA Book Fair, March 8th to March 10th
We need parent volunteers to help run the event. There are volunteer spots every day for Setup, Helping Shoppers, Checkout and Cleanup. One or more HWISPA officers will be present at all times to support volunteers. You can find the volunteer signup at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090445aeac28a1fc1-book.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game! New York Mets vs Miami Marlins
Sunday, May 7th
First Pitch at 1:00 PM
Citi Field: 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue, New York, NY 11368
Please join us for a fun filled afternoon of baseball and hanging out with school friends. We have secured the Citi Pavilion area (formerly the Shea Bridge Terrace area). This section is filled with semi-round tables of 4, which makes it easier for kids and adults to socialize while enjoying the game and maybe even catch a homerun ball!
Kids under 32″ are considered lap-children and do not require a ticket. Extended families and friends are welcome to join.
Our goal is to sell 72 seats and have the whole terrace to ourselves! Cost: $117.04 per person includes processing fees and a $30 food/concession/merchandise credit (this includes apparel) and related processing fees.
Note that your tickets will be available for pick up at WILL CALL on the day of the game (the ticket issued by Eventbrite is not the valid ticket you will use to enter Citi Field).
